Help us keep our park clean!

Join us for a trash pickup along the Bluebell Trail and the shoreline along the picnic area. Trash pickers, trash bags, and gloves will be provided. We'll be hiking approximately 2.5 miles total, but you don't have to do the entire trail, only what you're able to. The bluebell trail is a natural surface hiking trail with exposed rocks and roots, and it is relatively flat. The shoreline in the picnic area can become steep, so watch your step.

Please let us know that you plan to attend by emailing megan.goin@dcr.virginia.gov or calling (540) 622-2262.

About Clean the Bay Day

Each year Virginia State Parks participates in the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Clean the Bay Day, an event dedicated to protecting and preserving the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Park visitors are invited to join a clean-up to help remove litter, debris and pollution from rivers, streams and shorelines that feed into the Bay, contributing to the health of the Bay’s ecosystem and ensuring cleaner water and safer habitats for wildlife.
