Journey back in time on Lee's Woods Trail to discover hundreds of years of human history. Follow a Ranger on this guided hike to learn about the people, places, and events that make Leesylvania State Park unique. The trail is 1.96 miles, moderate difficulty, and is not stroller friendly. Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy closed-toe footwear, and consider bringing water. Meet at the Lee's Woods Trailhead to get started. About Virginia State Parks History and Culture Day

On June 15, 1936, Virginia became the first state to open an entire park system of six parks on the same day.
