Mulberry Hill Open House - The Revolution in Southern Virginia

Join our rangers for a guided tour of Mulberry Hill, the plantation home of Judge Paul Carrington, Virginian and Founding Father. This month we will focus on the American Revolution and its impact throughout Southside Virginia. We will examine the various actions imposed by the British that affected everyday life, the steps taken to secure the colonies independence, and how Mulberry Hill, Judge Paul Carrington, and other local figures played a role during and after the revolution.
Each tour will start on the front porch of the house and will be approximately 35 minutes in length. Tours will run continuously from 12:00-3:00 p.m., with the last tour starting at 2:30pm. Visitors are also encouraged to walk the grounds around the house or have a picnic lunch at one of our seating areas outside after the tour has concluded.
These tours will include stairs and uneven ground. Pets are NOT permitted inside the house. These tours are FREE and require no reservations. Please call (434) 454-4312 for more information.
