Amid the hardships of the American Civil War, soldiers found strength in the bonds they formed and the small comforts of daily life. Through music, letters home, and close friendships, they created moments of relief and connection in an uncertain world. This program explores how these simple but powerful practices helped sustain soldiers through the challenges of camp life and the emotional toll of war.
