Powhatan State Parks presents a night of firefly activities including a hayride to witness the magical twinkling display through the rolling hills, meadows, and trees.
Warm summer nights combined with the lush, blooming grasslands at Powhatan State Park make the perfect stage for dancing fireflies! Join us activities including ranger-led firefly walks, a glow-in-the-dark craft, educational discovery table with a volunteer from the Virginia Master Naturalists and Xerces Society, and a firefly hayride alongside the rolling hills and wide-open meadows.
Tickets are required for the hayride, but the other activities do not require tickets.
