Program Location: Shelter 2 (near playground)
Main Park Address: Powhatan State Park, 4616 Powhatan State Park Rd., Powhatan, VA 23139.

When

July 11, 2026. 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

In anticipation of SNAKE WEEK, let's give a warm welcome to the park's newest ambassador animal, a sweet baby corn snake! You're invited to come celebrate her arrival and vote on her new name.

Guests will have the chance to meet our new snake, vote on their favorite snake name, learn all about Virginia's native snakes, and make their very own clay snake to take home. In honor of our new slithery friend, snake-themed snacks will be offered along with chilled refreshments. Our snake's new home is in a tank at the Park Office, so you can stop by for a visit any time the office is open, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily.

What to Expect:
This program will take place under the covered picnic shelter with shaded seating at picnic tables. The area is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. There is a bathroom nearby.
