Looking for a fun way to explore the park at your own pace? Stop by the Nature's Outpost at the beach to pick up a self-guided activity designed to help you discover Douthat State Park’s natural beauty and hidden gems. Whether you're hiking a trail, spotting wildlife, or learning about the park's history, these activities are a great way to connect with nature on your own schedule. These activities are perfect for families, solo adventurers, and curious minds of all ages. Examples of our Self-Guided Activities include:

Photo Scavenger Hunt: Find the twelve items listed, snap a picture, and win a prize.
Junior Ranger Brochure: Complete all activities in the brochure and become a Junior Ranger! Bring your completed brochure to Nature's Outpost at the beach to receive your badge and certificate!
Summer Exploration Booklet: Follow the activities to learn all about what is happening during the summer at Douthat State Park.
Nature Knapsacks: Check out a backpack full of nature-based activities, binoculars, field guides, and more.
