Let's Go! Kayaking Adventure

Join our Let's Go! team as they teach you the basics of kayaking, water safety, and some of the ecology around the peninsula. Travel in a solo kayak or grab a partner and paddle in a tandem.

This program is limited to 10 participants, so pre-registration is required. Children 6-12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the watercraft, and children 13-17 may paddle solo but must be under the supervision of a parent/guardian. All paddlers are required to wear a properly fitted personal floatation device (PFD). Kayaks, paddles, and PFDs are provided for this program. Be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen, and dress to get wet!

This is a free program but the daily parking fee of $10/vehicle and pre-registration are required. You can register by calling the Visitor Center at (540) 288-1400 and pre-paying the parking fee.

Arrive at the Visitor Center at least 15 minutes prior to the start time to check-in and receive your parking pass before heading over to the Aquia Creek paddle launch.

In case of inclement weather cancellations, registrants will be notified the day prior via email and/or phone call, and parking fee refunds will be provided.
