Join us in paying homage to 70,000 years of history and human tradition as we learn the sport of Archery. After the initial safety training, we will be able to hit the range and hone our skills. Participants must be willing to listen and able to draw a bow with a 10lb or 20lb draw weight. Closed-toe shoes are required; drinking water and sun block are strongly recommended. The minimum age is 10 years old. There is no sign up required.

About Girl Scouts Love State Parks

Every September, during Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend, Virginia State Parks offers a variety of programs to connect Girl Scouts with nature while earning badges. From guided hikes and plant identification to campfire building and backpacking basics, this special weekend helps Girl Scouts learn outdoor skills, build confidence and become advocates for the environment.
