Earth Manners explores what it means to be a good neighbor to people, wildlife, and the places we share. Daisies will learn how communities work together, how parks support both people and nature, and simple ways they can help care for their neighborhood and local environment. By the end of the program, girls will discover how small acts of kindness and stewardship can make a big difference in their community and beyond.
This program is designed to help Daisy Girl Scouts work toward earning their Good Neighbor badge while connecting with the natural world and learning about the importance of state parks. You do not need to be a Girl Scout to attend. Limited to 15 participants. Please register by calling the Visitor Center during working hours. 703-339-2385
About Girl Scouts Love State Parks
Every September, during Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend, Virginia State Parks offers a variety of programs to connect Girl Scouts with nature while earning badges. From guided hikes and plant identification to campfire building and backpacking basics, this special weekend helps Girl Scouts learn outdoor skills, build confidence and become advocates for the environment.
