All is still in the marsh when out of the blue...SPLASH...a Great Blue Heron has caught a fish! Join an Interpreter at the Bay View Trailhead to learn about one of our park's most distinguished and skilled wading birds and the value it brings to the Mason Neck peninsula, one of the largest Great Blue Heron rookeries in Virginia! Take in their distinct blue-gray feathers as they tip-toe through the water and glide majestically over Belmont Bay. Bug spray and water recommended.
