Want to test your paddling skills? Join us on a canoe trip at Staunton River State Park's private lake to learn basic canoeing skills, share stories about the park's history, and point out aquatic wildlife. We'll listen for frogs and keep an eye out for Great Blue Herons or even beavers! 

Meet at the Visitor Center. Canoes, paddles, and personal flotation devices (PFDs) are provided. While this is a free event, space is limited, so please sign up in advance at the Visitor Center. Children must be at least 6 years old, and participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The standard parking fee is required unless you are a cabin or campground guest.
