Jump in and explore the underwater side of the Shenandoah River! This snorkeling program lets you float through clear, shallow water while spotting fish, mussels, plants, and all the cool river life you usually don’t get to see. We’ll go over safety and gear on shore, then head into the river. Along the way, the staff will share fun facts about the river and how we can all help keep it healthy. It’s an easygoing mix of adventure, learning, and just enjoying the water.

Snorkels and snorkeling masks are provided. Registration is required. Payment is due upon registration. The cost is $5 per person. Click here to register.

This program is open to adults and children ages 8 and up. An adult must accompany youth under the age of 13 at all times.

You are welcome to use your own snorkeling gear. Those providing their own equipment are still required to register but do not have to pay the $5 rental fee.

Swim and wade at your own risk. There are no lifeguards present.

*Important* - Saturday snorkeling programs will meet at the horse trailer lot. Participants will be shuttled in an open-air wagon to the snorkel site.
