Not only are birds most active at dawn; if the weather cooperates, there is a beauty and peacefulness to sunrise that fades as the day progresses. Join Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy for this early morning walk as we explore the park as it awakens and fall is just starting. Fall bird migration will be in progress, and if we’re lucky, we should have both a beautiful and productive walk as we explore some of the park’s trails. The group will meet in the main parking lot near the pollinator garden. Before arrival, you can download the Merlin app to help with your bird ID. Sturdy shoes, bug repellent, sunscreen, and water are all recommended. Prepare for a variety of moderately steep and rocky terrain at a slow pace. Registration is required online at https://loudounwildlife.org. Meet your leaders at the main parking lot near the pollinator garden.
