As the fabric of autumn unfolds, the weave of even the water is altered. This paddle tour will show how the lake and its forest buffer adapt to changing weather seasons while wildlife prepares for winter.
Participants may select to use a single or double sit-on-top kayak or a canoe. One space is available to accompany the tour ranger in a canoe. The equipment fee is $5 per person. All needed equipment is provided for the tour which is limited to ten participants. Minimum age to participate is 16 years old.
Advance registration is required at least 48 hours before the event date. Park staff will contact you to confirm your date request if space is available. Payment will be made at the event for the exact amount in cash, check payable to the Treasurer of Virginia, or through most credit cards
To request a space go to: REGISTER Fill in the required information including which type of watercraft you would like to use for the tour. The number watercraft available is limited.
