Bask in the autumn beauty on this ranger-led hike, where you'll practice tree identification using leaf shape, color, bark, and nuts. At Powhatan State Park, the forests abound with warm red, orange, gold, and yellow from a wonderful variety of native trees. You can also join the "Nature Journaling: Fall Foliage" program at 1 p.m. to record your observations in a fun and creative way!
What to Expect:
The walk will be 1-2 miles on a mostly flat forested trail. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle.

While registration is not required for this program, it is recommended. If you register, we will be able to contact you if the program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
