Christmas on Poplar Hill
The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park is pleased to announce Christmas on Poplar Hill, a celebration of the opening of the 31st Annual Festival of Trees. The event will be open to the community and held on the museum grounds from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14.
Be among the first to experience this year’s Festival of Trees as the museum opens its doors for an evening of magical holiday festivities. Explore beautifully decorated trees and festive displays throughout the museum while enjoying a variety of outdoor activities on the museum grounds.
Gather around campfires with hot chocolate and sweet treats, enjoy festive music and a touch of snowfall and join us for the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree as we welcome the season together.
Many of the evening activities, including the tree lighting, refreshments and visits with Santa, will take place outdoors, so guests are encouraged to dress for the weather. The Festival of Trees displays will be located inside the museum.
Families/groups who bring a donation of dog and/or cat food will receive free admission, which will include access to the museum and the Festival of Trees.
Come make memories and start your holiday season with us!
