Virginia State Parks Adventure Series showcases two events at Pocahontas State Park this March

Chesterfield, Va. - Virginia State Parks invites outdoor enthusiasts to take on two exciting challenges at Pocahontas State Park this March as part of its Adventure Series: the Frozen Foot Challenge Adventure Race and the Tour de Pocahontas cyclocross event.
These back-to-back adventures offer unique opportunities to explore the park’s scenic trails and test your endurance.
Frozen Foot Challenge Adventure Race
Now in its seventh year, the Frozen Foot Challenge Adventure Race invites racers of all levels to test their skills on a challenging course of mountain biking and off-trail trekking. Participants can complete solo or in a team and choose a 5-hour course, ideal for beginners, families and youth, or the 10-hour race for experienced competitors.

Tour de Pocahontas
The Tour de Pocahontas invites riders of all skill levels to experience the park’s renowned trail system, featuring miles of singletrack winding through lush forests and rolling terrain. This exhilarating cyclocross event features 8,16 and 24-mile options.

Both events are part of the Virginia State Parks Adventure Series, a year-long lineup of outdoor challenges designed to inspire exploration and adventure across the commonwealth. Participants earn standings in either competition or achievement categories, with prizes including park passes, cash and REI gift cards.
