12:30pm Pressure System Components: Hands-on Stations (1.5 hours) -Wells & Pumping Plants (Pressure tank, pressure switch, pump, timers, etc.) -Pipeline materials, fittings, valves, etc. -Troughs, float valves, HUAs (site preparation, geotextile, rock sizes)
2:00pm Presentation Continued & Discussion/Comparison of Pressure System Types -Conventional -Remote Pressure Tank -Reservoir for Low-Yielding Wells -Hybrid

Notes to Participants:
1. Please bring a laptop if possible and download the NRCS “Virginia Livestock Watering Systems” worksheet (VA Watering System Worksheets – Sept_2010.xlsm) and Watering Facility Design Note (DN-614). Participants will need to be able to use the electronic version of the worksheet for the exercises. 1. 2. Please pack a lunch – we will only take a 30 minute lunch break to maximize the amount of training time that we have. 3. *Please email Raleigh Coleman at Raleigh.coleman@dcr.virginia.gov if you plan to attend so that we will have enough materials and so that we can alert you to any last-minute changes.
5. Please bring any watering system designs that you are working on if you need assistance.
